Did you know that November is National Caregivers Month? We didn’t until we saw this proclamation.

As November winds down, we want to acknowledge the extraordinary care we witness being given and received by many of our customers every day in our shop.

Grandparents caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Adult grandchildren caring for grandparents and great-grandparents (and aunts and uncles).

Neighbors caring for neighbors.

Adults in the “sandwich” position; caring for children and aging parents.

Spouses caring for their spouse.

Friends caring for friends.

Professional caregivers to those in need.

Often you’re here together and it’s our honor and pleasure to witness your service as we assist with shoe shopping. When we say it’s beautiful, we acknowledge the love, care, patience, generosity, kindness, and compassion and the more challenging experiences like exhaustion, frustration, and sadness. We see you. We respect you. You inspire us. We’re grateful for the care you extend. It clearly improves your loved one’s life. It also improves the lives of folks like us who get to see you in action.
